Vincent Giarrano (b. 1960, Buffalo, New York) is an internationally recognized contemporary realist painter celebrated for his striking, evocative portrayals of modern urban life. Education and Early Career
Giarrano’s artistic journey began with self-guided drawing before he formally pursued his craft, earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1982, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from Syracuse University in 1985. Following his formal education, he spent several years living in New York City, establishing a highly successful career in illustration and working as a prominent comic book artist for major publishers like DC Comics, Marvel, and Dark Horse. Ultimately, his passion for traditional techniques drew him back to fine art and oil painting.
