Origins and Classical Training

Born in Prague in 1979, Radu spent her formative years between the historic streets of the Czech capital and the scenic landscapes of Southern Bohemia. Her creative journey began in the performing arts; she studied classical piano at the Folk Art School in Prague for over a decade. Seeking to translate her rhythmic and expressive sensibilities onto canvas, Radu transitioned to the visual arts, completing rigorous classical painting and drawing studies at the Michael John Angel Studio in Toronto, Canada (1999–2002).
 

Inspiration and Artistic Vision

Radu’s distinctive style is celebrated for its deep impressionistic qualities, characterized by a masterful use of bold colors and energetic brushwork. A transformative period in her career was her extensive time spent in Zambia. The vibrant landscapes, diverse wildlife, and rich cultural tapestry of Africa profoundly influenced her artistic vision, infusing her paintings with an unmistakable vitality and warmth. Whether she is capturing the quiet majesty of a saddle-billed stork or the bustling energy of an urban scenery, her work hums with life.

Global Acclaim and Exhibitions

For over two decades, Radu’s artwork has been exhibited across the globe. She has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in prestigious venues across Canada, Zambia, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and the United States.

A crowning achievement in her career occurred in 2018, when she outshone over 1,300 global artists to be named the ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ by the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation in London, winning with her striking oil painting, Peaceful Place.
